Open Question: Video camera to computer question?

Nothing was going on at the time and it seemed sort of boring. What is that ride about and is it fun?

Open Question: My Dell Laptop Will Not Boot....Why?

My Dell Laptop D610 will not turn on. I press the power button and the computer will not boot up. I have tried various things 1) Remove the battery 2) Only have connected the AC plug 3) Leave my laptop in the port.

After talking to a techie friend I removed the memory only 1 (256K)on the bottom of the laptop, and not the 2nd because the 2nd is under the keyboard. I re-installed the same memory and then I turned on the computer. Everything booted properly, and then a minute after I boot into windows the computer freezes. After waiting a long time I just hold on to the power botton to shut down. After that it will not work or boot up again until I remove then re-install the memory.

So I went to purchase brand new memory for both slots. The same thing happens. I can boot my computer but it freezes after a minute, and once I shut it down it will not re-boot until I recycle the memory. I have tried using only 1 memory in both slots....but no better. What could the problem be and $$$? When I do try to start my laptop Cap Locks blinks about 9 times. Then stops blinking and computer does not start.

Open Question: Video camera to computer question?

I have a Sony CCD-TRV108 video camera that I recorded some stuff on. I need to get it onto my computer for editing but I don't know how. The camera has an S-Video out which I'm guessing would be the way to do it. My computer is a basic model, straight from the factory Dell, with no added cards and such that I know of. Using Windows Movie Maker, what do I need to upload my camera to the computer?
