Hey folks, Tim here, while Dave is out of action for a while I’m helping fill in for now.
Well the time is here, I’ve gone on a small holiday for the Easter Break and now I’ve got the 28.8k blues…

Basically the situation is this, I’ve got access to a brand new Core Duo 2 Dell system, Vista and the works… But…

The internet connection that is present where I am staying is only standard 56k modem, the worst being that the telephone lines here are so ancient that I have more chance of a faster speed if I drive to the server to put up this post!

But that aside, it is at least a fast machine, so I can play some of my favorite Retro Remakes and have some fun using the computer WITHOUT a decent internet connection (I brought my Nintendo DS so its all good, that should break the boredom!).

So for all those people out there with broadband this Easter, spare a thought for the 56k modem warriors out there still chugging away on Pentium 150mhz’s and Apple PowerPC’s!

(p.s. it’s taken me about an hour to put this post up, from start to end!)
